Mopane Bush Lodge
Shared Universe Ventures owns and operates Mopane Bush Lodge, a 4-star lodge on Mapesu Private Game Reserve in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. The lodge can sleep 24 guests comfortably in 12 well appointed luxurious rondavels. Made in the typical african renaissance design but sparing none of the amenities and facilities guests have come to expect of a 4-star establishment. In addition to the accommodation facilities the lodge also has a bar, lounge, restaurant, a communal pool and 4 of the newly built units are equipped with private splash-pools.
Mopane Bush Lodge is ideally located for game drives on Mapesu Private Game Reserve and in Mapungubwe National Park. Many mammal species such as leopards, lions, elephants, kudus, impalas and waterbuck may be seen as well as over 400 different bird species.Apart from the many natural wonders guests are privy to, the lodge’s guides also take guests on excursions to immerse themselves in the many cultural marvels of the area. Some of the most revered San rock art paintings in South Africa are located only a short drive from the lodge as well as a small selection strewn across the Mapesu Private Game Reserve. The adjoining Mapungubwe Cultural Landscape and World Heritage Site offer great insight into the oldest known Bantu Kingdom in South Africa.
The lodge is currently self-sustainable and makes a profit which is re-invested into constantly improving its facilities. In the past 2 years Shared Universe Ventures has ensured the lodge maintains its 4-star status, constructed an additional 4 family units each with their own splash-pool and turned the lodge into a profitable venture. At the time of writing Mopane Bush Lodge is ranked #32 out of 485 specialty lodges in the Limpopo Province.
